Q and A
Hopes? A few nerves about the set-up from the online photos - what were we getting in to?
Reality? Two of the best pizzas we've ever had, anywhere.
First Impressions? There's a huge armchair, a two-dimensional cat and a very large kitchen. Quirky is just the start.
USP? Chef Cesar's creative palatte and excellent preparation skills.
The offer in three words? Original, personal, memorable.
Service? Pizzas made to order, two at a time with the chef doing all the serving, prepping and logistics himself. Its like being in his kitchen.
On tap? All bottled craft beers. We tried a red lager that tasted like a gold one.
Eat me! On a menu where the only offering we'd not instantly want to try would be the one with truffle as an ingredient, it took some wrangling to agree on Fokumumu. It didn't disappoint. Mozzarella, pork belly slow cooked, with slices of pickled baby cucumber, plus hoisin and then sriracha mayo on the side. Simply superb. We're converted to the potential of pizza as a place for fusion,

Three Little Vegs is essentially a margarita, poshed up to the nth degree with splendid ingredients and a touch of rasta styling, It's just what you need matched with another one with meaty heft. This is pizza as a lighter treat, four different tomato flavours and a basil cream centrepiece, Packed with flavour and very moreish. We'll try it again.

Although we hadn't expected dessert, it turned out  Tiramisu was on offer courtesy of the market's specialist Italian stall downstairs. It could have been a bit boozier, but it wasn't swimming in mascarpone - there was plenty of tasty sponge in there. A welcome classic finish.
Friend friendly? Two of the vegetarian pizzas -including Three Little Vegs - can be made vegan.
Rating for dating? That's a yes. The food, chat with the owner and all-round experience will give you lots to share afterwards.
Tip? We asked chef Cesar to ignore our The Fork discount and we'd pay full price.
Change one thing? It's churlish to say a few olives with our early beer would have been very nice.
Revisitability? it's a given. We already have our next two pizzas ready to try.
