Q and A
Hopes? Sustenance before a long day.
Reality? A fairly hearty meal, really.
First Impressions? Walking in to find waiting staff shouting above the noise wasn't the most welcoming start to things.
USP? Summery decor might put you in a holiday mood.
The brunch offer in three words? Multipart solid planks.
Service? Patchy. No menus or, bizarrely, tabletop QRs so we felt a bit abandoned. No space at times for staff to get to the table. Very rapid food arrival is a plus.
Eat me! Just 4 you kicks off with an entirely unapologetic Fry up So - fried eggs with yolks creamy? Tick. Bacon with bits still crispy? Tick. Hashbrown good and crunchy? Well, yes, but too much so. You don't want to be spraying spud shrapnel across your plank or your co-diner, do you? Tomato salad had just a touch of balsamic - i.e. enough - with decent rocket and parmesan. A good combination. Yoghurt with a rather nice honey granola was the third part of the triimvirate, Perhaps to convince your conscience you're being good ig you've wolfed down that fry up.

Reggie Veggie is an odd one as although, yes, there's nothing touched by a butcher, it's not exactly pushing far into healthy, either. Avocado & Scrambled Egg was suitably filling and that was before we got to some well fried' chips which, unhealthy or not, needed seasoning and some ketchup would have been nice. A Fruit Salad was tasty and refreshing. Pesto Salad was loaded with mushrooms as well as tomato - anotther good-sized portion. So there we are. You're not going hungry. We chose coffee but other drinks are on offer and there's a nice bottle of fresh orange juice too.
Friend friendly? Some brunches  - see above - are vegetarian. Vegans might need to negotiate some changes.
Rating for dating? Either good or so-so. Tables are very close together. The basement beach will appeal to some for sure.
Change one thing? Space - it's not the final frontier. It's a pain when there's not enough of it. As well as a table or two too many, ours simply wasn't big enough for what needed to go on it.
Revisitability? Yes, probably. Although not on a Sunday morning. I need more p and q.
