What's the story?
Among all Madrid's barrio empanaderias (new word that one, but we'll run with it) Graciana's doing a great job in Centro.

There's lots of meats on the menu: ternera picada and cordero mapuche are properly juicy and meaty, and ordering more than one per person is a given. We're talking juicy moreish instantly flavoured fillings, with, at the right time, back-of-the-throat heat.
V-options are just as credible, and that Spinach and ricotta makes a classic combination as fresh and flavourful as it's ever likely to get. Other cheese fillings manage to be full of flavour but steer clear of greasiness.
With a very drinkable bottle of Malbec, this turned out to be a fine offer at a competitive price, with the empanadas easily heated in the oven for a few minutes, it makes a fine alternative lunch if you've been on pizza and pasta for a few weeks. For two, you'll probably decide to hold back a few of your dozen as a later snack if you've got a couple of accompaniments on the table.
Oh, and packaging is virtually plastic-free, with stylish cardboard boxes and greaseproof paper. Bonus point for that.
