Half a dozen-plus seats (comfort rating: don't be too tall) make up the cover total in this tiny spot. The good news is there's smooth coffee and a tasty and generous wodge of banana loaf. Delicious as it was, it should probably have advertised its chocolate content. Bagged coffees are available to buy. Friendly, bilingual service on our visit.
But there's not a lot of space to be had, and the furniture reflects it. Swivelling stools to perch on mean you won't linger too long. A shame. The food and drink deserve appreciation time.

Three large spaces make up this cafe, which opened over summer 2018. The cafe latte is really nice, creamy and frothy, although serving on a mini plank is pushing your luck a bit. Anyway, I liked the drinks a lot. Breakfasts aren't pricey with coffee included, although the very fresh croissant was a little on the small side. Butter and jam come in metal serving pots, which is a nice effort. The counter display doesn't necessarily do the products full justice, mind. Service was efficient, but not amiable.
There's a whole range of furniture in the different spaces. High stools in some windows, tables in a semi-open area out front, a Quotidienesque long table by the counter and a large back room. It's refreshing that there's enough space for you not to be forced to join in your neighbours' chats as a passive participant.
An entirely biased listener, I shan't give an extra point for their playlist including the wonderful Elijah by Matthew and the Atlas. But is that going to stop me shamelessly embedding it here for your edification?
Don't complain. It's not like we're charging.
